One of the detainees before the match between River Plate and the Mexico National Team at the Monumental Stadium turned out to be a fugitive wanted by the police for the alleged kidnapping of two minors in the province of Buenos Aires in 2020. The 26-year-old was captured by authorities before entering the stadium in Núñez.

According to information provided by police authorities to the Argentine News Agency, the detainee was accused of kidnapping two minors aged 14 and 15 in the province. The young man had an active arrest warrant that was detected at the Safe Stand control, leading to his arrest that same night.

The Federal Criminal and Correctional Court 2 of Lomas de Zamora had requested the capture of the individual from the Police Identification System, including his name in the Safe Stand list. After initial investigations, it was confirmed that the detainee was involved in a case of extortion kidnapping that occurred in November 2020 in a house in Villa Caraza, Lanús.

The detainee was charged, along with others, with the extortion kidnapping of the two minors. After his capture, the case was handed over to the Guarantees Court 4, under prosecutor Marcela Garmendia. Patricia Bullrich expressed on social media: "In jail and at the disposal of Justice! Safe Stand makes it clear: those who commit crimes pay for them, and good Argentines enjoy peace."

During the security operation for the friendly match, the City Police issued more than 100 contraventional records to car attendants. They also issued 90 records for the illegal sale of alcoholic beverages, and in the second control ring, about 35 actions were taken for entering without a ticket and for admission rights.
